Here's an interesting question from Connections (Cheyenne Wyoming) on Facebook.

If you wanted to test a person to see if they were from Wyoming, what would you ask them?

Don't jump at an answer. Take a moment to think about it.

Let's have a look at what some of the people on this Facebook page came up with.

Pronounce gros ventre correctly.

Asking people to pronounce things the way locals pronounce them is always a good clue as to where they are really from.

I always tell. them I am from the big city and they stare at me like Wyoming does not have one. LOL. I know they're truly from Wyoming if they say, Casper or Cheyenne.

Those towns are "big cities" by Wyoming standards.

Ask them about what they know about Tom Horn.

Good point, do they know the local characters that makeup Wyoming's history?

Ever been to Hell's Half-Acre?

Maybe not. Most people who are from a place don't visit much of where they are from. I know a lot of people from Wyoming who have never explored much of their own state.

Where is Buffalo?

This is a trick question. Do they mean the animal or the town? Do they know that we have a town named Buffalo? Do they know that we DO NOT have buffalo in Wyoming, we have BISON!

Ask them how much they love the Wyoming Wind and Weather

That's another trick question.

How to pronounce the Popo Agie River.

EVERYBODY from out of state will get that question wrong.

If you have to ask, they probably aren't.

No way to argue with that one.

How many GUNS do you have?

If they have too few or none at all then, even if they live here, they are not from here.

Probably the most important question...

Name the horse depicted on the Wyoming logo.

If you miss that one you just need to leave the state in SHAME!
