In a message to parents, students and staff on Sunday (March 15) Laramie Country School District #1 announced that schools will be closed until further notice, "Out of an abundance of caution." LCSD#1 will  "re-evaluate the situation" on April 6, 2020.

This includes the public elementary, junior high, and high schools in the city of Cheyenne.

Here is the statement.

Laramie County School District #1:
“Out of an abundance of caution and in consultation with state and local authorities, Laramie County SD 1 will be closed until further notice. All schools and facilities will be closed, and activities have been canceled.
This difficult decision has been made to ensure we are supporting the health and well-being of our students, staff, families and the greater community. The District will re-evaluate the situation on April 6th to determine if schools will resume normal operations. Please refer to the district website for frequent updates"
