Elvis Impersonator To ROCK Cheyenne

The King Is DEAD.

Long live the King.

The real Elvis stopped in Wyoming for a dink in Medicine Bow at the Virginian Hotel. That was at the beginning of this career, back before we had such a thing as the interstate highway system.

Today there are still Elvis impersonators out there.

George Gray and the Elvis Experience Band is coming to Cheyenne, Wyoming to help a church raise money and care for homeless kids in the area.

This group began as a gag at a karaoke bar back in 2000. Now they are making a living at it.

Gray and his friends had so much fun they now tour the country, which has got to be so much better and a real job.

 “Our show is just remembering a legend (Elvis Presley) that changed the world with his music and his philanthropy, (becoming a Elvis tribute artist) started out as a joke, and now I have a 17 member band and make concerts and travel”.  (Wyoming News Now).

This Cheyenne performance will be a fundraiser in partnership with First Christian Church for Unaccompanied Students Initiative.

That is quite a change. There was a time when anything Elvis did was considered obscene and "The devil's music.

But today we can go to church to see an Elvis impersonator and his "rock band."

Gyrating hips included.

This local church group “provides a safe and stable home for students 16-20 experiencing homelessness”.

George Gray and the Elvis Experience Band will appear at the Laramie County School District Administrative building auditorium at 2810 House Avenue this Saturday, March 23.

Adult tickets are $20, Senior tickets (60+) are $15, and children tickets (12 and under) are $10 with a very small processing fee.
