The twenties are roaring back, this time a century forward. As 2020 arrives this week, many around Laramie are breaking out their flapper dresses and pocket watches to ring in the New Year like Gatsby. So where can you get your Gatsby on and ring in the new year like a West Egg party?

Prohibition Party at Front Street is likely to be a great affair, especially considering the very building that Front Street and Sweet Melissa's resides in was once busted in a huge front street speakeasy bust and $20,000 (Approximately $254,000 in today's money) worth of liquor was seized. "Dress to impress! They were called the roaring 20's for a reason. Buy your outfit at NU2U and receive the drink password." Sounds like a roaring good time!

Just around the corner, you can hop over for another flapper inspired party at the Buckhorn Bar & Parlor. "Come celebrate with us for our Roaring Twenties New Year's Eve Party! FREE CHAMPAGNE at midnight as well as other drink specials!" Well, bully for the Buck, should be a blast.

If you've got a fabulous 20s outfit and don't want to wear it to just one or two parties (Why would you? Show it off!) You can continue to several more downtown establishments to keep rolling on the first night of the 20s. Brand New Bond's Brewing Co. is hosting a roaring twenties party of their own. Photo booth, food, music and beer, as well as another fun speakeasy theme of needing a password to get in, so watch their FB event!

Then on Grand Ave, you can head to Speedgoat for some tacos and drinks. Celebrating their one year anniversary as well, you can get free champagne at midnight. Meanwhile, across town, the American Legion Post 14 is putting on a Casino Night with no cost to attend. Buy ins for various games will go towards the prizes, and there's even a mini- pool tournament! Laramie Elks 582 will have a New Years Eve party as well, complete with a DJ, raffle baskets, door prizes and drink specials. This one starts much earlier than the rest of them, at 5:30 pm.
