If you are 50 years old, living in Gillette, Wyoming, and your nickname is CRACKPIPE, you might be making some poor life choices.

There is actually a guy in Gillette whose court file says he goes by the alias “CRACKPIPE." He was arrested recently on felony burglary charges - again. That latest arrest was added to his very long rap sheet.

Nicknames are given for many different reasons.

Some people give themselves a nickname to try to brand their personality. They want to portray an image for the world to see and accept. They usually pick a personality trait or a skill that they want to emphasize.

For others, the nickname is given to them, either out of affection or hate.

Nicknames are given for ironic sake, like the bald guy we call "curly," or the fat guy we call "slim."

Sometimes a person finds out that they were given a nickname, and they had no idea they had one. This could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on the name given and the victim's sense of humor.

No matter how we look at this, CRACKPIPE is NOT a good nickname to have, especially on one's court records. If a cop stops a person and runs their ID, only to find that their nickname is Crackpipe, it is sure to set off more than a few red flags.

Applying for a job is hard should the applicant says, "My name is Roger, but everybody calls me 'CRACKPIPE."

If you are walking down the street and someone yells out, "HEY CRACKPIPE!" and you turn around to see who is calling you, you've made some poor life choices.

You don't want that on your headstone when you die.
John (Crackpipe) Doe. RIP.

Wyoming's Ceepiest Pet Cemetery

The writing on the stones shows that these people loved their pets so much that they wanted to take special care of them when they died.

Yet, approaching this place looks like something out of a Stephen King novel.

Devils Tower As Seen From The Mother Ship

If you've see the movie (documentary) Close Encounters Of The Third Kind, then you know what it looked like to see "The Mother Ship" descending down to Devils Tower.

But what did it look like from the Mother Ship's point of view?

We don't have any actual photos from the Mother Ship

So we recreated the scene using Google Earth and one Nasa Photo.
