The Casper Balloon RoundUp is Central Wyoming’s free hot air balloon event, held the second weekend in July. That's this weekend. Friday the 11th and Saturday the 12th. Maybe some launches on Sunday too.

Bring the kids. They are going to love this.

Find out more on their Facebook Page.

The roundup will feature daily balloon launches. Hot-air balloons will officially lift off at Mike Sedar Park at sunrise — approximately 6 a.m. — on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, weather permitting.

Get there at 5 am to make sure you see it all. You won't want to miss watching them set up and stand the balloons up.

Watch the skies fill with color during mass launches at sunrise Friday through Sunday—weather permitting.

Free tether rides for children only! Rides will be available as long as Humpty has propane. Get in line and sign your waivers!

Don't worry, the kids don't go far. They get to see the balloons stand up, flare up, then they get to ride up, tethered to the ground.

Pilots and balloons are registered with the FAA just like any other aircraft or pilot

There are two special-shaped balloons at this year's Casper Balloon RoundUp.

There will be special shapes of all kinds. While most balloons are round, there are many “special shapes” in the world.

So far the weather is looking WONDERFUL for this event.

You'll have to get up early, but it's worth it.

Model Trains Astound & Inspire At Cheyenne Depot

Recently, the depot at Cheyenne, Wyoming, held Depot Days to celebrate the history of one of America's most important railroad stops.

Special thanks to the Slick Rail.

With its many detailed and weathered structures trackside, the Slick X Line O-scale layout is fun for both young and old.

The 40-foot-long modular traveling display was built by five members over a 2-year period, using their 1st letter of each of their names to form the name.
