Yeah sure, New Year's resolutions and all that. For some reason, many of us swore that this was the year we were going to lose weight, and we were serious this time.

So let's lose that weight. But there is no reason a person has to suffer through this. So here are a few items on the Wyoming Diet List that will help you lose weight:

1. Breakfast of steak, eggs, and hash-browns. It's nothing but good for you. Just watch how much lard you cook it in.

2. Burger and fries for lunch. A Wyomingite needs his meat and potatoes you know.

3. Do not start dinner with a salad. Why? Because the cow already ate all of that and you are eating the cow, so why be redundant? That would just add calories.

Dinner should be an 8-ounce grilled sirloin steak which is only 450 calories, so you are off to a good start.  Potatoes. They go with the steak, so you kinda have to. Just don't overload them with butter or sour cream. That's not to say you can't put that stuff on the potato, you kinda have to. Just don't overdo it.

As for the side of vegetables - again, the cow already took care of that for you so skip it.

If you are eating all of this and not losing weight then you are not working hard enough. That hay in the barn ain't going to stack itself.
