This might be the most challenging driving trail in Wyoming

The Morrison Jeep Trail.

You don't have to take a Jeep.

Pick your favorite vehicles and give it a try, if you dare.

Enjoy this 22.3-mile point-to-point trail near Ralston, Wyoming. Generally considered a challenging route.

This trail is great for off-road driving, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring.

The best times to visit this trail are June through October.

Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. (ALL TRAILS).

 

Most avid off-roaders have a list of must-do trails to tackle.

Morrison Trail might just be a little over 22 miles, but it will take you all day, at least.

Located in the Shoshone National Forest in Wyoming, this remote trail is close to Yellowstone National Park.

Be prepared for a combination of rugged terrain and high altitude.

Know what you are doing or take someone with you who does.

The Morrison Trail is a test for even seasoned off-roaders.

This is a single-lane trail, if you can even call it that, with deep ruts and large rocks to navigate.

Be prepared to turn the other way a few times. It has 27 switchbacks and no turnouts.

Good luck with that.

You'll need skills and concentration of an experienced off-roader.

You'll climb a lot.

It's about 4,500' in the Clarks Fork River Valley to over 10,000' at the top of the Beartooth Plateau.

Long wheel base vehicles have a hard time.

No matter what you're driving, in many places you'll need a spotter walking along telling the driver how to turn.
