The world needs more cowboys...and we all know that statement includes women as well. Next week, November 14th and 15th, is the 26th Annual Wyoming Women's Ag Symposium.

Wyoming Women in Agriculture (WYWIA) is a non-profit organization that provides information on current topics important to women in the agriculture industry. Their mission is to recognize women's important role in agriculture, their unique interests, and needs, thereby building a network of support.

Their annual event is two days full of opportunities to connect with like-minded women, be inspired by speakers and attended breakout sessions and panels about a wide variety of topics that are geared towards Wyoming women.

Thursday night's event is at Gruner Brothers Brewery and includes speaker Carey Portell, musician Lacy Nelson, and a cash bar and hors d'oeuvres.

Friday begins at the Ramkota at 8 am with Keynote Speaker Peggy DesEnfants. She's a Wyoming rancher who lives with her husband outside of Torrington, WY and her talk is titled "Diamonds: Finding the Good In Everything You Do in Life"

There is a trade show that will be open all day Friday and three breakout sessions. The panel discussion is titled "Celebrating 150 years of Wonderful Wyoming Women"

As a past speaker and attendee, I can tell you that this event is one you should take part in.

Thursday nights event is free to attend but an RSVP is requested. Friday is $25 until November 8th. After that, the fee is $30. You can take a look at the entire schedule and purchase your tickets through this link.
