This Saturday marks two weeks until Halloween, and the weather is really starting to feel like Halloween. The smells, the leaves, and the cool, rainy weather are getting me fired up. How about you?

If so, the  6th Annual Natrona County 4-H Pumpkin Fest is happening this Saturday, October 17, and you won't want to miss it. It's not only a great way to pick out a pumpkin, but also a great way to support the kids in the 4-H program.

Round up the kids, grandparents, cousins, neighbors, and anyone else who wants to enjoy the best time of the year at this family-friendly event. Join the 4-H at the Central Wyoming Fair & Rodeo from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The pumpkin patch will be open for you to walk through and pick out the perfect pumpkin. Then decorate it by carving, painting, or using your creativity in another way.

Show off your pumpkin bowling, ring toss, and pumpkin bounce racing skills while sipping an Old Fashioned Sassy Soda and enjoying lunch from the WYO Philly Food Truck.

Checking out the Pumpkin Fest is a great way to learn more about 4-H, the work they do, and how you can help through donations.

If your family has ever been part of 4-H, you know how much impact it has. It helps build skills, confidence, and plans for your future. If you have a kid who's interested, or you'd like to get involved, open enrollment runs through April 2027.
