Wyoming Hosts the NWCART in Casper for 2026

For the first time since 2019, Wyoming will host the Northwest Class A Regional Tournament (NWCART). The Casper Wildcatters welcome teams from five other states and the 2026 Wyoming Division 1 State Tournament runner-up, the Sheridan Jets, to the Oil City for five days of postseason baseball from August 6 through August 10. The NWCART is at Mike Lansing Field. Besides the Wildcatters and Jets, Oregon has two teams in the tournament field, while Alaska, Idaho, and Montana have one team each. A team from Wyoming has never won the NWCART. Six have finished as the runner-up.

WYOPREPS NWCART 2026 SCHEDULE IN CASPER

For the first time, the NWCART schedule starts with three days of pool play with the top two in each pool advancing. That is followed by two days of single-elimination bracket play. This type of schedule mirrors what happens at the American Legion World Series. Below is the schedule for Casper. Times are subject to change.

Pool A = Utah (Ridgeline Wolverines), Oregon 2 (Klamath Falls Falcons), Idaho (Burley Green Sox), Wyoming (Sheridan Jets)

Pool B = Oregon (Eugene Ole Athletics), Montana (Belgrade Bandits), Alaska (Service Cougars), Wyoming Host (Casper Wildcatters)

Thursday, Aug. 6:

Final Score: Service Cougars 11 Belgrade Bandits 8

Final Score: Burley Green Sox 11 Klamath Falls Falcons 9

Final Score: Ridgeline Wolverines 5 Sheridan Jets 0 - The Jets were held to 4 hits by 4 different players.

Final Score: Eugene Ole Athletics 2 Casper Wildcatters 0 - Casper was limited to 2 hits and 2 walks. The pitcher's duel was broken with 2 runs in the 6th.

Friday, Aug. 7:

Final Score: Ridgeline Wolverines 13 Burley Green Sox 8

Final Score: Eugene Ole Athletics 10 Service Cougars 0

Final Score: Klamath Falls Falcons 11 Sheridan Jets 6 - The Falcons scored the first 8 runs of the game. Sheridan got 2 hits & 1 RBI from both Chance and Gillis.

Final Score: Belgrade Bandits 12 Casper Wildcatters 2 - The Bandits scored 7 times in the first 2 innings to take control. Bovee had 1 hit & 1 RBI to lead Casper.

Final Score: Eugene Ole Athletics 10 Belgrade Bandits 4

Final Score: Burley Green Sox 13 Sheridan Jets 6 - Burley took control with 5 runs in the 2nd inning.

Final Score: Service Cougars 7 Casper Wildcatters 1 - Service scored 3 in the 1st to seize control. Casper did not score until the 6th inning on Spears' RBI single.

Neither Wyoming team advanced to the single-elimination bracket.

Sunday, Aug. 9:

Final Score: Klamath Falls Falcons 12 Eugene Ole Athletics 6

Monday, Aug. 10:

NWCART Championship Game Final Score: Ridgeline Wolverines 11 Klamath Falls Falcons 1 - The Wolverines scored the first 6 runs of the game and finished it with 5 in the 5th to win the title.

This marks the end of the season for these teams. There is no national event. The six states of Wyoming, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Utah put together this event. It is not affiliated with the national American Legion baseball postseason.
