
Cowgirls and Cowboys Ready for Wyoming Rodeo State Finals
The State Finals for Wyoming High School Rodeo are Thursday through Saturday at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Buffalo. There are two rounds of rodeo competition on Thursday and Friday at 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. before the Qualifying Short Go round on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. The top 15 in each event, based on points, will compete in the final round on Saturday. The Reined Cow Horse competition was held in Sheridan on Tuesday and Wednesday.
After this week’s state finals, the top four cowgirls and cowboys in the season-long points standings in each event will represent Wyoming at the National High School Finals Rodeo (NHSFR) in Rock Springs, July 13-19, 2025. A lot could change in the standings over the next few days.
