A Cheyenne woman being sought by the Laramie County Sheriff's Office for allegedly embezzling thousands of dollars from a church is now behind bars.

Sheriff Brian Kozak in his "Sheriff's Update" on Thursday said the woman, 64-year-old Karen Bryan, was contacted by law enforcement in Alaska as she was boarding a cruise ship and arrested on her warrant.

'God Works in Mysterious Ways'

"The title of this video is 'God Works in Mysterious Ways,' and that is certainly the case," he said.

Kozak says Bryan is currently being held in Ketchikan and they are waiting to see if she will sign a waiver of extradition.

"Our deputies are currently fighting over who is going to get to go to Alaska to extradite her back to Laramie County," he said.

Please remember that all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
