Cheyenne Man Killed After Crashing Motorcycle West of Carpenter
A Cheyenne man is dead after crashing his motorcycle west of Carpenter last Thursday night.
The crash happened around 9:12 p.m. near the intersection of County Road 203 and County Road 141, about eight miles west of Carpenter.
According to a fatality crash summary from the Wyoming Highway Patrol, 43-year-old Glen Cox was riding on County Road 203 when he went off the left side of the road, hit a three-strand wire fence, and was thrown from his bike.
Cox was wearing a helmet but died from his injuries.
The summary lists speed as a possible contributing factor.
According to his obituary, Cox worked for Dish Network for 16 years and was an incredibly hard worker.
"He was the funniest tease, the biggest kid in every room, the craziest uncle, the first to love on babies, and he was never happier than when he was with his family," his obituary reads.
Cox's funeral service will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 309 Western Hills Blvd. tomorrow, Aug. 31, at 2 p.m.
Cox is the fifth motorcyclist to die on Wyoming's roadways this month, and the second motorcyclist to die on Laramie County's roadways this year.
