Cheyenne Police Crack Down On Speeders, Noise Violations
Cheyenne Police made almost 150 traffic stops and issued almost 70 citations over the last couple of weeks of June as part of a crackdown on speeders and noise ordinance violations.
That's according to a post on the CPD Facebook page.
Downtown Cheyenne Was Target Area
The post says the enforcement effort focused on downtown Cheyenne and the area near the Cheyenne Depot Plaza, adding that the effort was "Due to a rise in public concern about speeding and noise on our local streets."
According to the post, Cheyenne Police made a total of 148 stops using overtime patrols specifically focused on speed and noise violations, issuing 69 citations.
The post goes on to say "These enforcement efforts are designed to address community concerns, deter dangerous driving behavior, and reduce the risk of crashes before they occur. Whether you are behind the wheel or riding along, we want you to get where you're going safely."
