
Wyoming Motorcyclist Killed in Crash Near Cody
A 61-year-old Wyoming woman is dead after crashing her motorcycle in Park County, authorities say.
The crash happened around 5:47 p.m. on Saturday, May 10 at milepost 1.8 on Road 7 Wc, just northwest of Cody near Newton Lakes.

According to a fatality crash summary from the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Lisa Akerman was found pinned underneath her Harley-Davidson after the motorcycle left the roadway while negotiating a curve.
The summary says Akerman was not wearing a helmet, but it does not list any possible contributing factors.

Akerman is the 35th reported person and the second reported motorcyclist to die on Wyoming's highways this year.
