Cheyenne Resturant Has Freaky Chicken Art
This is not an endorsement for this place, nor am I bashing them.
It's just that the art that I saw on their wall when I walked in FREAKED ME OUT!
Ridge Street, Cheyenne, Wyoming, a fast-food chicken restaurant, was ready to open, but something went wrong, and it never did.
That beautiful new building sat, unused, for a couple of years.
Finally, a family took ownership and opened it under the name of Owens Hot Chicken.
I could smell something wonderful as I approached their front door.
But then I stepped in and --- HOLY CRAP WHAT IS THAT?
A giant breaded chicken in a huge diaper with an expression that made me think it was on meth and wanted to KILL ME!
Who thought of that?
It would give children nightmares.
HELL - it gave me nightmares.
I walked around the corner and ordered at the counter.
The place is run by a nice family who take pride in their work.
They were kind and helpful.
Their menu is basic, but that's okay, because what they do make is fantastic.
Based on their food and reasonable prices, I would highly recommend stopping in and maybe even making them a regular part of your dinner plans for when you don't want to cook.
But make the kids wait in the car or use the drive-through. That chicken art is FREAKY!
