Planes, Cars & Drag Racing August 17 In Powell, Wyoming

Wyoming is a big state.

If you live in let's say southeastern Wyoming, why would you drive, or fly your little airplane all the way up Powel, which is in the northwestern part of the state?

Because you get to drive or fly over Wyoming, that's why.

Let's toss in some drag racing to sweeten the deal.

Come to Powell for the Park County Wings 'n' Wheels Airshow and Drag Races. August 17, 2024.

A benefit pancake breakfast is served at 7:00 AM with proceeds going to the Experimental Aircraft Assoc. Chapter 713 Scholarship Fund ($9 for breakfast).

Fly-ins are at 8:00 AM followed by a car show and drag races at 9:00 AM with Danny Sorensen to follow. Admission is $10 and kids 12 and under get in free.

 

You've seen classic car shows. They happen all over America almost every weekend.

This is one of those classic plane and classic car shows all rolled into one.

Events like this happen all summer long, all over Wyoming.

It's an excuse to get out in any vehicle you have and drive, or fly, over one of the most beautiful states in North America.

I bet they'll be drag racing on the runway.
