Skateboarding across Wyoming?

For ages, people walked across Wyoming.

Then came the horse, then the wagons, and eventually trains.

It was a big deal when the first car drove across Wyoming, and the first motorcycle.

Imagine seeing the first plane to fly across the state.

Today, it's a big deal to hear about someone walking or running across the state.

We see people riding bikes across Wyoming all the time.

Here is a gentleman who is skateboarding across the state.

Let's start with video 1 - Day 1.

Kevin starts his magnificent journey across the state of Wyoming!

You can follow his video channel at this link..

It's called SKATE THE STATE on YouTube.

In the first video, he and his wife show his route and explain why he is doing this.

He began near Green River and his heading north.

The idea is to work with the overall elevation change.

Why skate uphill when he can drop over a thousand feet by the end of his journey?

The video below is the latest they have posted.

It is worth visiting their YouTube page to watch all of the episodes so far.

DAY 6

Today, Kevin departs Lander at around 10:00 am after waking up late due to a fun night out in the town.

With the much-needed help from his trusty support crew, Jennifer and Ruth, Kevin covers 35 miles, ending in the middle of nowhere!

Along the way he meets a nice family at the skatepark in Riverton, WY, and takes the magnificent Ruth, his noble steed, for a quick skate.

From the southern end of Wyoming, he is heading up to Lander and beyond.

His route is along much flatter ground than taking the east side of the state, which can get quite hilly.

He needs FLAT or downhill as much as he can get.

THIS PROVES - never quit. Keep your life exciting. You'll live longer and be healthier and happier, both mentally and physically.

Wyoming's Ceepiest Pet Cemetery

The writing on the stones shows that these people loved their pets so much that they wanted to take special care of them when they died.

Yet, approaching this place looks like something out of a Stephen King novel.
