OKAY! I know these are not UFOs.

But a guy can dream, can't he?

It's a windy day in Casper Wyoming. I know, but surprise, right? But it's the kind of upper-level winds that shape clouds into unique features that we don't commonly see.

According to NOAA, these are called Lenticular clouds.

Lenticular clouds are stationary clouds that form mostly in the troposphere, typically in parallel alignment to the wind direction. They are often comparable in appearance to a lens or saucer. Nacreous clouds that form in the lower stratosphere sometimes have lenticular shapes. Wikipedia

These lens-shaped orographic wave clouds form when the air is stable and winds blow across hills and mountains from the same or similar direction at different heights through the troposphere. METT OFFICE

Height of base: 6,500 - 16,500 ft

I'm sticking with it's a UFO trying to hide as a cloud. They are watching the city of Casper and studying the people there.

I mean, isn't it rather ODD that it's parked right over DOWNTOWN?

I mean, if you want to get all sciency about it and stuff, fine.

Tell you what, let's have someone fly a plane into that and see if they hit a spaceship. If they don't then I'll buy your Lenticular clouds theory. Until then I'm sticking with UFO because I like it better that way.
