Students Look Up To Wyoming High School Ag Program Teacher
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — High school students in Cheyenne are getting hands-on teaching in farm and ranch work.
Tommy Cress is the new agriculture teacher at Cheyenne Central High School. Cress was an assistant principal in Cheyenne but wanted a more hands-on role with students.

The Cheyenne school district has a small farm where students learn skills such as caring for livestock.
The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports Cress works with students at the farm and students give him high reviews. Cheyenne Central junior Sarah Turner keeps two pigs at the school farm. She says Cress isn't an everyday teacher — he's somebody she can look up to.
