Suspect In Fort Collins Shooting Sought By Authorities
The Larimer County Sheriff's Office is looking for a 28-year old man with alleged gang ties in connection with a Friday afternoon shooting in the Fort Collins area, according to a post on the agency's Facebook page.
The post says the man in the photo, 28-year-old Sonny Arthur Howes, shot another man in his lower extremities in a home at 401 North Timberline Road. The wound was non-life threatening, according to the post.
Investigators say Howes has ties to both Fort Collins and Colorado Springs. They say he is considered armed and should not be approached.
He is wanted for second-degree assault, menacing, and possession of a weapon by a previous offender, all felonies.
Anyone with information on Howes is being asked to contact the Larimer County Sheriff's Office at (970) 416-1985 or your local law enforcement agency.
