As of Wednesday morning, 39 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Natrona County. Of those, 21 have recovered.

On Wednesday, Natrona County Health Officer Dr. Mark Dowell said the area be feeling the effects of COVID-19 well into June.

It's unsure when COVID-19 cases will peak in Wyoming and the Casper Area, the Natrona County health officer said Wednesday.

The cases were reported Wednesday morning.

A Casper-Natrona County Health spokeswoman on Monday said community spread of coronavirus within the county cannot be ruled out.

The patient is self-quarantining along with immediate household members.

As of noon Thursday, there are 53 positive cases in Wyoming with six of those being in Natrona County.

It is the second reported case in Natrona County and Wyoming's 29th.

Bloom also said medical professionals nationwide are short of personal protective equipment such as face masks, gowns and gloves.
