If you're looking for a budget-friendly way to experience the best of Cheyenne Frontier Days, I have some good news: a ton of free activities and events happen around Cheyenne during CFD.
CFD "is a modified, tournament-style format. Timed events will have qualifying rounds to make it into the rodeo performances beginning July 23. Rodeo qualifiers are free to the public. "
While Frontier Park certainly has quite the lineup in store for late July, they aren't the only ones with plenty of live music on tap. The Outlaw Saloon has a solid act schedule set for July 22nd through July 31st which coincides with this year's Cheyenne Frontier Days.
Now that we have surpassed Memorial Day Weekend, we have reached the unofficial start of summer. Bring on the summer festivals and all the outdoor concerts we can handle! With that idea in mind, obviously southeast Wyoming has at least one western festival that people are most certainly counting down the days to. But on a short list from at least one publication, Wyoming has not just one, but two of 'Summer's Best Wild West Festivals'.
