The College National Finals Rodeo says two contestants passed away in a Kansas vehicle accident Friday morning.

The accident happened Monday afternoon on Wyoming Highway 22.

The sheriff's office expressed condolences to the unnamed boy's family.

Neither was wearing a helmet.

The other juvenile occupant of the vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The names of the drivers involved in the crash have so far not been released.
