It's fireworks season again in Wyoming. Is that a problem?

As the 4th of July approaches this weekend, lots of people are getting their festivities for the holiday weekend in order, such as plenty of food, hanging out with friends and family, and of course, fireworks. It just so happens that when it comes to shooting off fireworks, Wyoming shoots off more than almost another state in the U.S.

Many Americans aching for normalcy as pandemic restrictions end are looking forward to traditional Fourth of July fireworks.

Last August, 307 Fest took place in Downtown Casper, but this year it's happening at the Ford Wyoming Center and it will be a 2-day event featuring food, fun and, yes, fireworks. Best of all? This year, it's free!

In some cases, Veterans, fireworks, and PTSD may not be a good mix, so be mindful of those who have served and be a good neighbor.

Fireworks are to blame for a large grass fire that temporarily closed Interstate 25 between Cheyenne and the Colorado state line Thursday afternoon.

No fireworks of any kind may be used within Mills town limits.

The Casper Events Center may open for parking, but that remains to be seen.

The show will begin at 9:35 p.m. Saturday.
