Thanksgiving is approaching, which can mean only one thing- Senator John Barrasso is reiterating how much more expensive the holiday will be this year, due to the Biden Adminstration.

The House voted Thursday to hold Steve Bannon, a longtime ally and aide to former President Donald Trump, in contempt of Congress after he defied a subpoena from the committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection.

Cheney put herself in the crosshairs of Trump when she voted to impeach the former president for his perceived involvement in the January 6 Capitol attack. She is also one of only two Republicans to join the House committee seeking to further investigate the January 6 attack.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has selected the members of the Select Committee that will investigate the attack on the Capitol that occurred on January 6. Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney of Wyoming was one of those who was selected.

"That bill was defeated for all the right reasons," Barrasso emphasized. "That bill was designed to make it easier for Democrats to cheat so they would never lose an election again.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has told Democratic colleagues that she will create a new committee to investigate the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol.

"Look," Barrasso began, "Joe Biden will sign whatever Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer can put to his desk, no matter how reckless, no matter how expensive it is.

Senate Republicans have blocked the creation of a bipartisan panel to study the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

The House has narrowly approved $1.9 billion to fortify the Capitol after the Jan. 6 insurrection.

House Democrats have approved sweeping voting and ethics legislation over unanimous Republican opposition, advancing to the Senate what would be the largest overhaul of the U.S. election law in at least a generation.
