Former top Justice Department officials have testified to the Jan. 6 committee that President Donald Trump hounded the department to pursue his false election fraud claims.
The House committee investigating the Capitol riot has set a vote for next week to consider contempt of Congress charges for two aides of former President Donald Trump.
"You know, we had over 60 courts in this country that ruled against the claims the former president was making, and yet he rejected those rulings and attempted to overturn the will of the people," Cheney said.
"We're actively litigating to obtain White House records Trump is trying to conceal. We will not allow him to hide the truth about January 6, or his conduct, from the American people."
