Rutting season

I've never seen a bulk elk do this before, but apparently it is quite common when they are "in the rut", and it is definitely rutting season right now.

When you're trying to impress the ladies, it doesn't really matter where you are. Some things just have to be settled here and now. That was the case for two bull elk who decided to spar over ladies in the middle of a Colorado playground.

In a world of "don'ts", this would be near the top of the list. A man in Colorado decided it would be a good idea to challenge an elk. His decision was quickly regretted as the elk promptly chased him out of the park.

There are towns with elk and then there are towns with ELK. This is that second one.

It's hard to go to Yellowstone National Park and NOT end up in the middle of a bison herd especially this time of year. But, it's not common to have a male bison fall in love with your car like this driver did.

These kind of fights always seem to happen because of a lady. Recently, two bison bulls went head-to-head in the middle of a road in Yellowstone over a cow looking for a mate.

Attention drivers, it is rutting season. That means if you put your car in the same zip code as a moose, you run the risk of this happening. It's a moose who took a very severe dislike to a Mercedes Benz.

This is a wild time of year in Wyoming. You never know when you're gonna see bull elk bugling or bear and wolves fighting over a carcass. It's also not unusual for bull moose to spar even though we rarely get to see it. A new video gives you that chance.
