Cheyenne area law enforcement agencies are once again teaming up with elementary schools in Laramie County to make Christmas a little brighter for those less fortunate.
"This isn't about making us feel good," Ladd stated. "But it does, ya know? To be able to make that child feel special and to feel like they're taken care of, but hopefully also to communicate to the parent or guardian that there's an entire community here that really, truly, cares about them; it does mean a lot to us."
Our mission is the same as in the past – collecting toys and gifts to make sure no Casper child goes without this Christmas – and feeding them well beyond the holidays, with the vital Weekend Food Bags provided through the Wyoming Food for Thought Project.
The holiday season is upon us and approaching fast whether we would like to acknowledge it or not. That also means it's the season for giving in and around Cheyenne. At the Walmart store on Dell Range Blvd in Cheyenne, the retailer will host the 4th Annual 'Shop With a Hero' next month.
