The Best Views Of Estes Park & Its Surroundings Are On This Hike
At least in MY humble opinion. Recently, on a beautiful sun soaked 75 degree day, I took my son up to the mountains and we found a trail to hit. That trail led us to what I believe is one of the best "easiest" hikes to get some incredible views above Estes Park.
That hike is the Kruger Rock trail which is about a 5 mile roundtripper that is filled with views from bottom to top and while it has a few pretty steep sections that are sure to get you working up a good sweat, the reward at the top is nothing short of stunning.
There are plenty of stopping points along with the way with "lookout points" to show you just how high you are getting AND...great spots to stop for a quick drink or snack.
The trailhead is a couple miles off State Highway 36 a few miles past Lake Estes. We all know that Estes Park is a phenomenal and beautiful place...even just on the drive in it creates such a wow factor.
I promise you though...once you get on this trail, you will have a much greater perspective on the amount of sheer awesomeness and beauty that is around us in every direction.
If you think I'm exaggerating, check out these views from the top of Kruger Rock WAY up above Estes Park.
