The REAL REASON Yellowstone Bison Gore Tourist
So what's with the bison and bears of Yellowstone tossing tourists?
Do they just hate them?
Maybe - but let's dig a little deeper.
Imagine if you will that it's Friday or Saturday night and you went to a local bar.
There you see a rather big, burly guy who seems to have a bit of an attitude.
He is there for one reason: TO SCORE!
Yeah, he wants (needs) to find a woman and take her home.
He's been there for a while.
He's been striking out with the ladies.
He's had too much to drink.
This guy is getting aggressive.
Are you going to get in his way?
I suggest you DO NOT!
It's the same thing at Yellowstone with big animals like Bison.
This is their rutting season.
That means, like the big guy in the bar, they are trying to score and need to in a bad way.
Everything is the same except there isn't any alcohol involved.
That's why you need to stay clear of these big animals.
They are in the worst kind of mood.
Everything and everyone is annoying them.
That means you, too.
To help us understand this situation a little better, here is wildlife and Yellowstone "expert" Hank Patterson, in the video below.
If you do find yourself too close to one of these animals, remember, YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN!
Game wardens and park police are not there to play referee for you.
They are there to clean up the mess after the ass kicking is over.
And YOU will be that mess.
I hope this little talk has been informative.
