The event known as "The Wyoming Incident" has been republished on YouTube under the name "The Wyoming Incident: Re-Imagined".

This is another look at something that is alleged to have happened on a local Wyoming television station that has people "freaking out" to this day.

What is written below was posted under the video.

You'll see the television station sign off the air for the day, and then IT HAPPENS!

In the early 1980s, KXJB-LD Wyoming station, KXJB-WY, experienced a disturbing event that came to be known as the "Wyoming Incident."

During a routine sign-off announcement, the station’s broadcast was hijacked by a disturbing and cryptic signal. Viewers were confronted with unsettling, distorted visuals and garbled audio, which quickly led to widespread fear and confusion.

The broadcast included bizarre, disjointed messages that prompted a surge of concerned calls and complaints.

The "INSIDENT" occurs at 2:41 in the video, below.

Speculation about the source of the intrusion ranged from malicious pranks to more sinister or supernatural theories.

In response to the incident and the public outcry, KXJB-WY decided to cease its operations in Wyoming and shift its broadcasts exclusively to North Dakota.

The station offered no further explanation for the intrusion, leaving many questions unanswered.

Years later, a well-preserved recording of the incident was discovered in someone's basement. Some parts of the footage had been adjusted for better viewing pleasure.

Did you watch it?

That was CREEPY?

So, what do you think?

That was 44 years ago.

Was it a prankster at the station or did somebody else broadcast from another location?

The Tate Geological Museum Casper Wyoming

The Tate Geological Museum was founded in 1980 through a gift from Marion and Inez Tate. It was originally designated as the Tate Earth Science Center and Mineralogical Museum. Because ‘geological’ encompasses earth science, mineralogy, and paleontology, the name was changed to the Tate Geological Museum in 2001.

Located on the Casper College campus, the museum is a great resource for the community. Many local schools and groups come to the museum to add to their student's learning experience.

Tate houses a collection of over 6000 fossil and mineral specimens.
