Unfortunately, this story that is making its way around social media is NOT TRUE.

But we want it to be - so, here it is.

The story is of a Colorado man who identifies himself as a wolf and lives to play the role in a wolf costume.

People who play these fantasy roles call themselves "furries."

It is said that we went to Yellowstone, donned his wolf costume, and tried to head out into the pack to see if he would be accepted.

This young lady, in the video below, was fooled by this story.

As he crawled toward them on all fours, which is walking for a wolf but crawling for a human, he tossed meat out as a gesture of good faith and friendship.

But the wolves were having none of it.

They attacked, chasing him, nipping at his legs.

"Sanders suffered multiple puncture wounds, torn synthetic fur and 'severe emotional disillusionment,'" says the post.

Below is a YouTuber getting fooled by this Casper Planet post.

GOSH, we really wish this story were true.

But we know it's not because it was written by our friend at The Casper Planet.

The Casper Planet is a satirical website that focuses on Wyoming stories.

Many people have been fooled by some of the most outrageously written stories the Planet could dream up, including this one.

SNOPES, which is a fact-checking website, had a look at this. They confirmed that it was satire. We really did not need their help.

To be fair, there are enough real-life bazarr storie out there that something like this does not come across as far-fetched anymore.

Wyoming's Ceepiest Pet Cemetery

The writing on the stones shows that these people loved their pets so much that they wanted to take special care of them when they died.

Yet, approaching this place looks like something out of a Stephen King novel.
