New Capial Home For Wyoming's Morning Radio Talk Show

Wake Up Wyoming with Glenn Woods (that's me) is a radio show and podcast heard on several stations across Wyoming and the region. When the show first took off on multiple stations, it was moved from Cheyenne to Casper. That is where the technology was to run a multi-station show, and it was more centrally located in the state.

But I argued to our company that it made more sense if I were hosting the show back in the Capital of Cheyenne. The studios are on the third floor of a building on Capitol Avenue, just a couple of blocks from the State Capitol, the Wyoming Supreme Court, and many other social and political action groups that affect the culture and politics of the state.

Carl, the rumber chicken to the left, is looking great.

As always, I'll be traveling all over the state for local events and news stories. But from these studios I can see the capital and the Governor's office. I'll get a pair of binoculars, and I'll be able to look through his office window at the capital and keep an eye on him.

Being more centrally located to where the action is will help the local quality of the show. It's also nice that I now have the corner office (studio). It has a great view.

I'll still be driving and flying across the state, where I hope to see you soon at area events and news stories.

The Tate Geological Museum Casper Wyoming

The Tate Geological Museum was founded in 1980 through a gift from Marion and Inez Tate. It was originally designated as the Tate Earth Science Center and Mineralogical Museum. Because ‘geological’ encompasses earth science, mineralogy, and paleontology, the name was changed to the Tate Geological Museum in 2001.

Located on the Casper College campus, the museum is a great resource for the community. Many local schools and groups come to the museum to add to their student's learning experience.

Tate houses a collection of over 6000 fossil and mineral specimens.
