A little over a decade ago I saw the state of Wyoming move toward carbon sequestration with the state's coal power plants.

I asked members of the Wyoming House and Senate, as well as the governor at the time if they actually thought that CO2 was a pollutant and was driving the planet toward catastrophic climate change. They all told me, emphatically, NO!

Obviously, they told me, this planet's history, geology, and science tells us that climate change is natural and is always happening.

So why the push to carbon sequestration?

Their logic, at the time, was that if we are going to keep the coal industry going, both minding and power production, we needed to appease those who believe that CO2 is a bad thing. Just give in to the lie and give them what they want and they will go away.

I implored them not to fight the "war on coal" in this way. "You don't win a war by appeasing," I said.

Just over a decade later and Campbell County, Wyoming is very close on its carbon sequestration project.

A team of students from the University of Wyoming has won the Carbon Removal Student Competition funded by XPRIZE and the Musk Foundation.

And how is that working for us?

President Joe Biden’s climate envoy, John Kerry, said there would be no coal in the United States by the end of the decade at the COP26 climate conference in Glasgow, Scotland.

“By 2030 in the United States, we won’t have coal,” Kerry said in an interview with Bloomberg.

Biden financial nominee discusses how to bankrupt the fossil fuel industry.

Saule Omarova has a desire to bankrupt the coal, oil, and gas industries.
“A lot of the smaller players in [coal, oil and gas] industry are going to probably go bankrupt in short order,” Omarova can be heard saying in a clip posted to social media. “At least we want them to go bankrupt if we want to tackle climate change, right?”

WELL - I TOLD YOU SO!

These people are not interested in how to keep coal, natural gasses, and oil going, They want to end it, all, NOW! There is no appeasing them.

I'll say now what I said way back then;

The only way to win this misinformation war is to attack it with the truth, head-on.

DO NOT give into junk, fake science, lies, and propaganda. That is the way you lose, every time.
