Why does Wyoming have the largest collection of billionaires in America?

Obviously, we are talking about Jackson. But it's not just Jackson anymore.

The rich are spilling into areas around Jackson and Teton County Wyoming and building their large estates on mostly empty land with great views.

Lincoln County Wyoming is just south of Teton County. It's not as nice as Jackson but it still has wonderful views of towering mountains.

The video below starts by talking about how harsh Wyoming can be, though they overstate it by saying that Wyoming is NOT an attractive place to live.

The video then goes on to list celebrities like Harrison Ford, and a wealthy heiress. Former vice president Dick Cheney, along with one of the richest men on the planet.

Even the actual richest man on the planet, that would currently be Elon Musk, visits his rich friends there.

There are many other rich people in the area whose name you have not heard of but they certainly have the money to afford to live there.

So, why does Wyoming attract these people?

For one, Jackson is about the most attractive place in America. It's not just the Tetons that do it.

Not having a state income tax is one of the reasons that so many rich people want to live there.

Not having a "wealth tax" as some bigger states do is also attractive.

People who have a lot of money tend to want to keep it.

In many ways, Wyoming is not interested in taxing anyone like some larger states and cities do.

But getting away from the problems that heavily populated states and big cities offer is very attractive to these folks, and anyone else for that matter.
