Why Wyoming is so Weirdly Wealthy
Wyoming has become one of the richest states, per capita, in the nation.
But why?
One of the reasons that not so many people live in Wyoming is the weather.
Many months out of the year are just brutally cold and windy.
There are opportunities for business and success in Wyoming, but not as many as in more populated states.
Wyoming's largest "cities" are called small towns in other states.
Opportunities are even more rare out in the countryside.
The video below offers a good, in-depth look into why so much money is in Wyoming.
There is a short growing season, little water, and often the soil can't grow much.
Yet despite all that is unattractive about Wyoming, the state has become one of the richest in the nation.
Wyoming has the highest concentration of billionaires in the entire country.
So why is it that so much money has moved to Wyoming?
True, most of them have moved to Teton County. But the rich have spread out from there to other parts of the western side of the state.
Most of the wealth in Wyoming is owned by people you have never heard of. They are rich, but they are the unknown rich, and they want to keep it that way.
It can be argued that Teton County is probably the most beautiful spot in the place.
It is also located near so many wonderful places like Yellowstone.
The fact that Wyoming has no state income tax or wealth tax is a big part of why so many wealthy people have decided to make Wyoming their home state.
