Wyoming: Cold & Unpredctiable Weather This Week
Here we go again.
Expect temperatures in Wyoming and across the region to TANK on Tuesday.
Expect single digits on Tuesday with overnight lows in the negatives.
There is a chance of snow for most of Wyoming. Not a large amount but most of Wyoming will get something.
That chance of snow will continue through Wednesday and Thursday.
The North East part of Wyoming will see the worst of the temperatures and snow.
If you think we're going to have it bad, you don't want to be in Montana or North Dakota.
There is a bit of an uptick in temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday with that continued chance of snow.
Thursday and Friday might get most of the state into the middle 30s to low 40s.
There is a chance of temperatures rising into the mid-50s by next week.
Those warming temperatures might hold for more of next week.
But let's have a little caution here.
Looking at the long-term forecast is always a bit sketchy, especially in the middle to end of February.
Many people are surprised to hear that December through part of February is the driest time of year in Western states like Wyoming.
Late February and spring are the wettest times.
This is also the time when the weather is the least predictable.
That's why it's not a good idea to rely on those weather apps on your phone for anything over two days out from the current date.
There is always that late spring snowstorm or two that we all know is coming, but we can never put an exact date on when.
But it's coming.
