Wyoming might be considered a dry/arid state, but fishing is big in these parts. That's why new rules put out by Wyoming Game and Fish will be of great interest to anglers.

The changes to its fishing regulations will take effect in 2026.

Look for new tackle requirements on the North Platte River as well as new and expanded catch opportunities in the Jackson Region.

This is where it gets a bit technical, but if you're a true, hardcore fisherman, you'll understand.

Where to Find Details
Refer to the official Wyoming Game & Fish Department's (WGFD) website, specifically the 2026 Fishing Regulation Brochure (Chapter 46).

2026 should be a great year for fishing in Wyoming. The Cowboy State offers some of the most unique rivers, lakes, and out-of-the-way places in North America.

Jay Em, Wyoming, Frozen In Time

Jay Em, what an unusual name for a town. The few people who live there are proud of what their spot on earth once was, and they work to preserve it. They keep this little community frozen in time.
