Most of Wyoming has been cold for a while.

It's time to take a break.

As we get into this weekend you can expect temperatures to move up into the 30s, then 40s, and then into the 50s by next week.

The downside is that when warm air moves in and replaces cold air, we get WIND.

That wind should not be anything drastic by Wyoming standards, but, still... windy nonetheless.

It's NOT SPRING!

Enjoy it while you can.

This is just a push of air from the Pacific rather than Canada, that will give us a few days off from having to wear our heaviest coats.

Canada is not done with us yet.

DANGIT CANADA!

We also have to get through the last of the seasonal snow storms, which some of Wyoming needs, as we move out of winter and into spring.

The first day of spring is closer than you think

The vernal equinox! The first day of spring is Thursday, March 20.

December through most of February are the driest times for this part of the country.

Spring is when we get most of our wet weather and even most of our snowpack.

Most of Wyoming has had a good amount of snow for this winter.

Central Wyoming missed out on most of it and the eastern planes need a touch more, though the plains did well, overall, so far.

Enjoy this weekend and the first part of next week.

You've earned it.
