Admit it, we have been SPOILED!

This spring, and the beginning of this summer of 2023, has been cool and wet.

But sooner or later summer had to arrive.

Well, here it is.

This Monday, 07/17/23, will bring us the hottest temperatures of the year.

Expect upper 90s in most areas.

Just a little cooler mid-week with a better chance of showers.

Then back to hot for the weekend.

In the video below Don Day, of Day Weather, explains what we can expect for the next couple of weeks.

We will have rain.

Not as much as this spring and early summer, but expect those summer thunderstorms.

Watch for those storms to be scattered across your area.

You may or may not get wet in the afternoon, it will be the luck of the draw.

While temperatures will be high you can expect a typical summer for the rest of July, at least.

This is the warm and dry season.

Though not as dry as it was during the drought we have just come out of.

The monsoon season has come to Mexico, and that is what will be driving those afternoon thunderstorms.

That cool air you were enjoying has moved off to the east. It's their turn to enjoy some of it, since the eastern side of the United States has been SWELTERING.

THE GOOD NEWS: Expect some beautiful mornings.

Nice cool temperatures and maybe just a few clouds in the sky.

That's the time of day for outdoor activities.

If you hate the heat, think of it this way: We have a really short summer this year due to the cool and wet spring we had.

Fall will be here before you know it and we will go back to cool and wet again.
