Every so often, I'll walk into a restaurant or retail store in Wyoming and see a poster of a missing person. In some cases, the person listed has been missing for years.

There are several databases of missing people in Wyoming where the pubic and look at the details, just in case somebody can provide any information.

Their interactive map displays the last known locations or the places where evidence indicates a missing person was last present.

From there, you can follow each case with a written description of the missing person and, if available, a photo.

All featured cases are verified, are over one year old, and pertain to individuals whose last known location was Wyoming. For more information on each case, please refer to the Wyoming DCI database, The Charley Project, or NamUs.

You can zoom in and out of the map with highlighted cases and evidence. You can see potential remains and artifacts that might help the search.

The mission of this organization is to provide support to families and communities in the search for missing persons.

Every county sheriff's department in Wyoming has been listed and is working with this project.

Wyoming law enforcement agencies receive hundreds of missing person reports annually, and the state consistently ranks near the top nationally for missing persons per capita. While many cases are resolved quickly, at any given time, dozens of unresolved long-term cases remain open, particularly impacting the Indigenous community.
