It is worth driving out to this area to see the views, but also to meet the neighbors who are good people. This area has a wonderful sense of community.

The closest towns are Wheatland, to the north, and Chugwater to the south.

Chugwater, Wyoming, founded in 1886 as a Swan Land and Cattle Company ranching hub, originated from a Mandan Indian legend describing buffalo falling ("chugging") off bluffs into the creek. Situated on the Cheyenne-Northern Railroad, the town thrived as a ranching center, home to the famous 2-Bar Ranch. Today, it is a small, historic town with a population of about 200, known for the Chugwater Soda Fountain and its famous chili.
