Earn Prizes For Reading Wyoming Books
Wyoming Center for the Book is a Library of Congress-affiliated program of Wyoming Humanities.
The Center’s mission is to promote literacy, libraries, reading, writing, books, poetry, and to celebrate Wyoming’s literary heritage.
Each month, they challenge readers to read a book that fits into a new theme.
The program is free and open to all ages.
Participants can share their thoughts in a reflection form and also be eligible for prizes throughout the year.
Everyone who completes all 12 months of reading will even be placed into a grand prize drawing, including the chance to serve on Wyoming Humanities’ National Book Festival advisory committee!
It’s simple to join – and every participant will receive a small piece of Wyoming Humanities for taking part in the reading celebration.

Two recent books that they are featuring are A Steamboat Home by Casey Rislov MBA (Author), Zachary Pullen BA (Illustrator)
As one of the eleven Saddle Bronc Horses inducted into the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame, Steamboat embodies the spirit of independence and strong-will. He stomped and stamped his silhouette, which we currently see in the symbol of the West. (AMAZON).
Another book that they are featuring that I highly recommend is A Sometimes Paradise by Mark E Miller.
A captivating, unfiltered account of growing up on a ranch, where every decision defines character
A Sometimes Paradise is a moving personal journey into the rugged beauty and hardscrabble challenges of Wyoming ranch life that shaped Mark Miller as a boy and then as a young man. (AMAZON).
These books are also available at local Wyoming bookstores, where we encourage buying local and supporting those establishments.
