Not enjoying the cold temperatures in Wyoming right now?

Well, yeah, it is cold.

But be glad you're not up in Montana or North Dakota.

How does -40 F strike you?

Do you feel like complaining now?

What you see are not the worst temperatures that they have been experiencing up there.

February 2025 in Havre Montana has been nearly 24 degrees colder than what they are used to seeing this time of year.

They've been getting a lot of snow too. About 250% of the recorded average for the past decade snowfall.

The town of Havre has had multiple nights with temperatures as cold as -44. Just a few days ago, Havre's wind chill dipped to -65.

As always some years are warmer, some colder. Some years have more snow. Some have less.

As for an all-time record it was 70 below zero at Rogers Pass on January 20, 1954. That was not only the coldest temperature ever in Montana but was the national record for the lower 48 states.

South Dakota has been faring about the same.

BRRRR!

Here in Wyoming the North Eastern part of the state has been on the edge of that cold front.

While cities like Gillette have not seen anything nearly as cold as the states above them, they have been colder than the rest of Wyoming.

This has been a cold winter for most of the country with record-low temperatures and even snow in places far down south that rarely see it.

Beautiful Welded Junk Art

Is that just a rusty pile of old metal junk?
Maybe it's a moose a cowboy or a horse.

It just depends on what you see when you look at it.

This Wyoming-born artist brings junk to live with beauty in motion.
