It's actually been a good season for rain and snow in Wyoming.

There has been a lot of snow in the high country and a lot of rain in the prairies.

But not everywhere.

There are a few holes in Wyoming that need a lot of wet. They are in drought conditions.

Regional weatherman Don Day has just posted his daily weather vlog that shows who's been getting the rain and who has not.

In the map below, RED means lots of moisture, blue is less, and green is least.

So if you're in the red and yellow areas, be happy. You've had a lot of wet weather this season, and it will last you most of the year.

Wyoming's mountains have had great snow and more is coming before we finish with spring.

Let's keep in mind that when it comes to weather, there is no such thing as "normal."

The weather is always changing. Nothing ever stays the same.

Temperatures, wind, and moisture will change from year to year, from decade to decade, and even longer-term trends beyond that.

We are not done with spring yet. There is still a chance that those dry areas might catch up before we are out of the rainy/snowy season.

The weather in Wyoming seems to flip-flop from year to year. Nobody is really sure why.

A few years ago, it was bone dry in northeastern Wyoming and wet in the southeast. Just a year later, the opposite was true.

A Little Wyoming School House Preserved In Time

The little hamlet of Slater Wyoming has preserved on of their last two remaining buildings with all the love they feel for it.

There was once a tiny town on this spot.

Most everything is gone except the schoolhouse and the community building.

I stopped by one Saturday morning and the locals were more than happy to let us in to have a look.
