Some words of wisdom can only come from Cowboy country.
A few on the list below can only be understood by folks living here.
You'll know what I mean as you read them.

Anyone who doesn't believe those words of wisdom can just go and try it.
Always drink upstream from the herd.
That's good practical advice but also good physical advice if you think about it.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and stick it in your pocket.
But don't let the IRS know.
Never miss a good chance to shut up.
That one should read "Shut the hell up."
Trust everyone but always cut the cards.
Much like Ronald Regan said, "Trust but verify."
There are two theories to arguing with a woman, Neither works.
There was that one guy who one an argument with a woman. But it doesn't count because she was dead.
Don't be all hat and no cattle.
That's probably one of the best ones here, but you have to think about it a moment.
Never squat while wearing spurs.
I imagine that the guy who made that up found out the hard way, and then decided to pass this wisdom on to the rest of us.
