Slobs Leave 13,000 Pieces Of Trash In Yellowstone

Some people can be SLOBS! They are disgusting, and what they are doing is disrespectful.

In 2025, park staff have collected over 13,000 pieces of trash from Yellowstone's hydrothermal areas, including more than 300 hats, pizza boxes, a stuffed koala, and a Birkenstock sandal. The geology team used various tools to retrieve the items from areas like Excelsior Geyser and other thermal features.

Some common items, such as hats, are particularly common. They are a major problem with over 300 collected. The total cost of these items is around $6,000 collectively.

Let's take a look at some of the more unusual items: such as a pizza box with slices still inside, a fake Louis Vuitton bucket hat, a stuffed koala toy, and a Polaroid picture.

Together, all of this debris clogs thermal vents, alters the color and temperature of features, and impedes the natural processes of the hot springs.

To gather all of this trash, each year, the Yellowstone Geology Program used a variety of tools to retrieve the trash, including 30-foot grabber poles, fishing rods, and long slotted spoons

Most of this trash builds up over time, not in one year, but that is still -- YUCK!

I'd like to add something to Yellowstone's welcome sign: NO SLOBS ALLOWED!

I mean, come on, who leaves an entire pizza behind?

I'd like to take all of this trash and dump it in their living rooms.

If they can't keep America's house clean, then we would not... What am I saying? I bet their houses are already a mess, just like you might imagine.
