Laramie County Sheriff-elect Brian Kozak will be sworn into office on Jan. 3 at 8 a.m. according to an email he sent to local media on Tuesday morning.

Kozak, who served as Cheyenne Police Chief for a decade, was elected to serve as Sheriff in November as a Republican, will replace long-time Laramie County Sheriff Danny Glick, who did not run for re-election in 2022.

Kozak's email says he will be sworn in at the Laramie County Commission Board Room on the third floor of the Historic Courthouse at 310 W. 19th Street.

Kozak says he will be introducing his command staff at the ceremony:

You know me, but you may not know who will be helping me. I have selected a new command staff to help me lead the Sheriff's Office; you will meet them at 9am when they also take the oath of office. The media and public are invited to share in this exciting time.
